All of our clothing is still in excellent condition, some of it is still like new, also bear in mind that buying pre-worn clothing is a smart way of recycling and in today’s economic climate, saving money is key.
With the high cost of clothing it is nice to try to cut back where you can , a great way to save money is by purchasing your clothing used. While this may not seem appealing to you keep in mind that many items are barely worn and you may just find the outfit of your dreams at a fraction of the price! Sadly some people may turn their noses up at the thought of wearing second hand items, but if a supermodel was seen wearing a vintage outfit, would it be thought of as second hand? Probably not.
Imagine Kate Moss gliding down the red carpet in one of her beloved vintage outfits – I think most people would agree she always looks immaculate whatever she wears.
The words ‘second hand’ for most people probably conjure up images of old fashioned, musty clothing in a dark and dingy charity shop, but in the past few years ‘vintage’ or ‘retro’ clothing has become very popular. However, these items are actually probably much older than the items we see in charity shops, with some vintage items upwards of 20 years old.
